May 22nd sees the publication of my novel, ‘things found on the mountain’, by Seren Books.
I am so excited by this and I love the cover, back and front, and the overall design of the book.
The book is set in the Black Mountains. This photo of them is echoed on that front cover so perfectly.
As mentioned (and shown) in a previous post, I’ve been visiting the area, to get some photos and video (more later) and to ‘walk in the footsteps of’ my characters, both real and imagined.
Here are a couple more.
The Monastery is where Eric Gill, sculptor, typeface designer, printmaker lived from 1924 to 1928. He features in my novel, encountered by my main character, Beth, who does not like him at all. Anyone who knows about Gill’s private life will understand why…
This is the view from the Monastery towards the English border. It is strange to think of my characters looking out at this every day.
The book is available to order HERE now.
