Reviewer Jacci Gooding concentrates chiefly on a few stories, while calling the whole ‘an eclectic mix of the unusual, making it a collection of poignant and diverse storytelling’, Other kind descriptions include ‘All of Powell’s characters and scenarios are intriguing’; ‘the strength of Powell’s writing’; an ‘exploration of lives we don’t see enough of’.
