I am very pleased to have won second prize in the 2022 Bedford International Short Story and Poetry Awards, for my story, ‘Chattels’.

I won third prize in 2021, and the same in 2019 – I am delighted to make it three awards in a row!
The story is available to read on the Bedford Competition website and will, in due course, appear in an anthology, with other winning entries.
The Bedford is a great competition to enter, as all proceeds go to charities promoting literacy, particularly among children, following the detrimental effect of the pandemic.
