I am delighted that my story, ‘Emily – Hiding in a Flower’, has been accepted for inclusion in a new anthology, ‘Botanical Short Stories’, to be published by The History Press, next year.
The collection will be edited by Emma Timpany, who chose the stories from among many entries, and illustrated by Sarah Jane Humphrey, an R.H.S Gold Medal winner for her exhibition at the Botanical Art Show.
The story is based on the poet Emily Dickinson, who loved her garden, which provided inspiration for many of her works.
I also love my garden, and the plants within it. I appreciate each and every acceptance I am lucky enough to receive, but this one was rather special, because of that love.
Thank you, Emma, and The History Press.
