Today, April 4th, is the publication day of ‘Botanical Short Stories’ – Contemporary Writing about Plants and Flowers.
The book – a hardback – is edited by Emma Timpany and illustrated by Sarah Jane Humphrey, an RHS Gold Medal winner.
And I am delighted and honoured to have a story included in it. My story, ‘Emily – Hiding in a Flower’, was based on the life of poet Emily Dickinson.
Emily found much inspiration for her work in her garden, but she also took much pleasure from working there, or simply being in it – as I do.
There are fourteen stories in the anthology and there is so much variety in both themes and styles. And it has already received some excellent reviews.
The book even has its own page online : https://botanicalshortstories.uk
And it is available from all good booksellers.
Thank you, Emma Timpany, for choosing my story.
