In between trips here and there, and practising my A470 poem, I was happy to help fellow Pembrokeshire writer and creative-writing tutor, Philippa Davies, with some thoughts on submitting short stories, which she wanted to pass onto her students.

She also gave some excellent advice from authors far more accomplished than myself. I particularly liked this from Ray Bradbury: ‘Write only what you love, and love what you write.’

And, as it happens, the stories I love are usually those that are most successful.
