I am so proud  (and shocked) to be the winner of the 2021 Cinnamon Press Literature Award, for my novella, ‘The Sisters of Cynvael’.

The prize has been awarded jointly to myself and poet, Patricia Helen Wooldridge, as the judges were unable to decide between our manuscripts, so ‘felt the only good option was to have two winners this year’.

Both our books will be published by the Press in 2023.

Congratulations, also, to all those writers who made the longlist, shortlist and final five, with the judges saying ‘in the last two years we’ve seen a leap in quality and ambition in the writing submitted’ and ‘our adjudication gets harder and our long and shortlists consequently get longer. If your work reached the longlist, that’s a significant achievement.’
